3 learnings from my visit to LUBS
Great day exploring leadership both theoretically and practically, with a set of final year students at LUBS today. It’s always fascinating and heartening* to talk to the students at LUBS, many who had just come back from a year on an industrial placement. We were discussing leadership on a number of levels and I was asked for some of my key learnings. Here are three learnings:
1 – Good leaders start with WHY.
2 – Good leaders adapt their own natural style to the context in which they are leading.
3 – Good leadership is not necessarily about creating followers, but enabling more of your people to be leaders too.
What would you have shared as some of your key learnings? Thank you to Nicola Smith for looking after me during the day!
* heartening because I see their passion and their interest and feel good about the future of work 😊
